I think it would be usefull to have a fix for the unknow color used by injection users to crash nearby clients. Since it such harmfull it should be given. As a packets newbie like me, it would be awesome.

Can you give more detail as to what actually happens here? There are some places in the core where it checks for out of bounds colors, if there's one we're missing that can cause client crashes, yes it should be fixed/added.

As far as I remember people used injection and were selecting an outbound color, causing official clients to crash. Unless you guys fixed it, I wouldnt be that bad to have such a security included. At the momment I think we have to hook speech packets to counter that.

What is the actual range for speech colors anyway? I have been instructing people how to fix it client side but I would like to at least display a warning (to them) if not just change the color in the script if they are speaking out of range.

If its a hole in the 095 core, then it will only be fixed in 096 if they can find it. There would be no way to fix it in 095 at least from a shard developer's standpoint. The way I'm talking about fixing it in my last post was using packethooks... another thing only available in 096.
